I first heard of Love Me Beauty when I found a discount card in a copy of Cosmopolitan a few months ago. It offered a great deal where you could get your first month for £1 (plus delivery cost of £3.95). I’ve since found other discount cards in other magazines like Vogue so if you’re thinking of trying it out it’s definitely worth looking at a magazine to see if there’s any discounts around.
I like that you can choose which products you receive out of a selection each month. You get given a standard 60 ‘credits’ per month and the products available in each month’s edit are each assigned an amount of credits so you pick and choose from them until you’ve used up your 60 credits. I really like this as it means you can pick things you would actually use; we all have different preferences so I feel this is a more inclusive and flexible take on a beauty box.
To give you an idea of the kind of things that can be available here’s what I chose to receive from September’s edit, which included items from Kat Von D!
All the products were sample sized which is cute and it is a nice way to try some often very expensive products. I chose to receive some samples from Omorovicza which is a very pricey skincare brand. I got the Thermal Cleansing Balm and the Deep Cleansing Mask which I cannot wait to try although the samples are a tiny 5ml so I’m not sure how many uses I’ll be able to get out of them! I’ll definitely have to use them sparingly in each application!
I also received a cute little Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick in the colour Magick which is a mauve-pink with a hint of glitter in it. I was happy to see how wearable the shade looked and it does look like something I can wear on an every day basis. I’ve yet to try it yet though so I can’t make any comment on the formula quite yet. I may do a review once I’ve used it a few times.
The last product for the month was a little bottle of Aromatherapy Associates Hydrating Rose Skin Tonic. This sounded like a nice hydrating toner that I plan to use after using AHA/BHA products. I have to say it does smell a bit funky but then again I’m not really a fan of rose scents.
I’ve decided not to buy October’s edit as it doesn’t really interest me. I had to cancel my rolling contract to do this so be careful you know when your renewal date is or you’ll be charged and you might as well order the products if this happens. I’ll be sure to renew though if their future edits grab my attention!
